Common help

Personalized content is not appearing

Confirm that you are signed in with Apple, Acora Plus is active, and AI Data Sharing is allowed in Profile > Settings > AI Data Sharing. If sharing is declined, Acora intentionally uses bundled starter content. A complete set is published only when all required manifestation cards and stories are ready; Acora does not replace a complete set with partial output.

Notifications are missing

Check Acora's notification preferences and iOS Settings > Notifications > Acora. Focus and Scheduled Summary may delay an alert. Acora suppresses a content-ready alert when the latest set was already viewed and does not promise visible delivery at an exact time.

Restore or manage a subscription

Use Restore Purchases in Acora. Manage or cancel at iOS Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Deleting your Acora account or the app does not cancel the App Store subscription.

Health sleep access

HealthKit sleep records are processed only on the device. Change access at iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Acora. Acora cannot tell whether HealthKit read access was denied; an empty result may also mean there are no matching sleep samples.

Report a bug

Open Profile > Settings > App > Report a Bug. You must be signed in with Apple so Acora can protect the endpoint from anonymous abuse and attach the report to the correct deletion scope. The form sends the text you enter plus Acora version/build, iOS version, device type, and locale. Do not include passwords, payment details, health information, or other sensitive data.

The report text is stored privately in Supabase. If the optional Discord support alert is enabled, Discord receives only an opaque report id, issue category, and technical context—not the report text, account id, or email.

Delete an Acora account

  1. Open Acora and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Profile > Settings > Account > Delete Account.
  3. Read the consequences and confirm Delete Account.

Deletion permanently removes the Supabase authentication account, Acora database rows linked to the account, and user-owned profile-image, story-artwork, and narration objects. After the server confirms deletion, the app attempts to remove account-scoped preferences, personalization details, profile images, story artwork, narration downloads, and network caches from the device. If local cleanup fails, Acora tells you to delete and reinstall the app.

Account-linked bug reports are deleted with the account. A previously delivered Discord alert may retain its opaque report id, issue category, and technical context, but it contains no report text or account identity.

Deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage that separately through Apple before or after deleting Acora.

Revoke Sign in with Apple authorization

Acora normally exchanges Apple's one-time authorization code during sign-in, validates that it belongs to the signed-in account, and stores the resulting refresh token encrypted on the server. When you confirm account deletion, Acora asks Apple to revoke that authorization before deleting Acora data. Apple treats an authorization that was already revoked as successfully complete.

If Apple is temporarily unavailable, the encryption key has changed, or a legacy account has no stored Apple token, Acora still deletes Acora-owned account data and tells you that manual Apple revocation is required. To finish manually:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Tap [your name] > Sign in with Apple.
  3. Select Acora.
  4. Tap Delete or Stop Using and confirm.

Acora also observes Apple's credential-revoked notification and clears the local session if Apple revokes access. Apple's official instructions are available at https://support.apple.com/102571.

Apple may also send Acora a signed server notification. A consent-revoked event removes Acora's encrypted Apple credential. An Apple-account-deleted event removes the matched Acora account and its user-owned cloud data. Invalid signatures, wrong audiences, unknown events, and replayed event identifiers do not trigger account changes.

If in-app deletion cannot be completed, email info@acora.app from the address associated with the account. Support may verify identity but will not require an unnecessary phone call or account-retention offer.

What may remain

Apple retains purchase and subscription records under Apple's terms. Limited App Store and Sign in with Apple event records may remain after being separated from the deleted Acora account where needed for transaction reconciliation, security, fraud prevention, legal claims, or compliance. Deleted records may remain temporarily in restricted backups until the applicable backup cycle expires; they are not used to operate a deleted account. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
